Consists of Herman D. Nichols memorablia and ephemera, including yearbooks, report cards, menus, and war ration coupons. Includes
geneological information and ephemera relating to the Nichols, Kellogg, and Tubbs families, with diaries by Catherine Rayner
Edmunds Kellogg (1861) and Sheldon Ingalls Kellogg (1875). Also includes a handwritten notebook describing emigration from
Australia to California and memories of early San Francisco inscribed by author Eric Francis, and a reprinted drawing of Edwin
Booth's cottage in San Francisco, with annotations by Francis describing its history and neighbors. Finally, contains items
relating to California and San Francisco history such as advertising cards, mining stocks, a chart of California businesses,
and a photocopy of a journal kept by Robert N. Ferrell describing his sea voyage from New York to San Francisco in 1849.
